We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, motivated midwife to join our team as the Clinical Lead Midwife for the Antenatal Clinic.
Ormskirk maternity Unit delivers around 2500 women per year and the Antenatal Clinic provides Consultant and Midwifery Led Antenatal services including fetal medicine. The population is diverse and the maternity unit delivers both high and low risk women.
You will provide clinical leadership to the nursing/midwifery team to ensure safe and effective clinical practice while enhancing the patient's experience of care. You will be responsible for managing the performance of your team and working closely with the multi disciplinary team
You will contribute to the development and delivery of the organisational objectives and you will ensure key performances indicators are applied to the department.
The successful applicant must have effective communication and interpersonal skills and be committed to providing a quality service that is responsive to the changing needs of women and their families.
This is a permanent post with full time hours. Working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday day although you may be required to work out of hours or on call to cover the senior midwife and/or bed management rota.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
