Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust are pleased to announce exciting opportunities following the reconfiguration of the Anaesthetic and Critical care workforce

We are seeking to appoint ambitious qualified physicians’ assistants (anaesthesia) (PA(A)s) and enthusiastic candidates who wish to undertake a 27 month training program, which if completed successfully would lead to qualification as PA(A)

The Physicians’ Assistant (Anaesthesia) is a new role within Southport and Ormskirk Trust, supported by the Anaesthetic Department and Clinical Education Centre.

Applicants who are qualified must be registered on the MVR held by the Royal College of Anaesthetists and be an affiliate member of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.

Applicants wishing to undergo the training programme will enroll at Birmingham University (remote learning) but will be based at Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust.

Suitable applicants will have significant demonstrable clinical experience of working in the NHS at degree level in a theatre environment or have a biomedical sciences degree.
