Radiology Staff Nurse

We have exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic staff nurse to join our Intervention Radiology team. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Consultant Radiologists, Nurse, Radiographers and Radiology Department Assistants to deliver high standards of care within the imaging modalities of Interventional Radiology, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy and CT/MRI on the Southport site.


The varied nature of this specialty means there is always something new and interesting to learn and is an opportunity for you to develop your career and skills within the imaging specialty to deliver the highest standards of care during specialist interventional procedures diagnostic investigations, and therapeutic interventions. Interventions include: angioplasty, renal and hepatic, biopsy and drainage.


The post consists of a variety of roles including working as a scrub assistant for sterile interventional procedures, circulating duties for recording patients’ observations, IV drug administration and managing patient care pre and post stages of treatment.

You will need to be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and strive for opportunities for improvement .You will positively impact on the experience of patients and carers by providing a high standard of clinical care. We are also looking for an organised individual with excellent communication skills and a positive approach to change.


Previous radiology experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be given. However a willingness to work as part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team is essential.
