Full-Time - 37.5 hours per week, which may include flexible working over 7 Days

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic Speech and Language Therapist to join the Stroke and Neurology therapy team at Southport District General Hospital. Newly qualified graduates are welcome to apply.
The post holder will work as part of a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team delivering an inpatient service to patients with a range of acquired communication and swallowing difficulties. There will also be opportunities to work in a newly commissioned Early Support Discharge Team.
The successful candidate will receive dysphagia training, regular clinical supervision and support to complete the RCSLT NQP framework.
Applicants must demonstrate within their supplementary information how they meet the essential and desirable criteria as we use this to short list.
