Working Pattern: 37.5 hours which may include working flexibly (weekend and extended days)

Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust is a progressive NHS Trust. It is committed to providing and developing innovative high quality services to the communities that it serves.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Stroke/Rehab Therapy Service at Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust. This service provides assessment and treatment of stroke patients on the Stroke Unit and Neuro/Complex rehab patients on the Rehab Ward.  We are also in the process of setting up an Early Supported Discharge service to our Southport & Formby stroke patients so opportunities to experience working  in all these specialist areas will be available.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved in, and contribute to, service developments and plans. They will be integral to the MDT, and work with colleagues to facilitate safe, seamless discharge through assessment, treatment and discharge planning with community colleagues. The Therapy and Rehabilitation Service is a friendly and supportive place to work.

Applicants must demonstrate within their supplementary information how they meet the essential and desirable criteria as we use this to short list.

You must have:-
• Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
• HCPC Registration

• Experience of working with stroke/neurological conditions
