Working Pattern: 37.5 hrs which may include flexible (weekend and extended days) working.
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Rotational Occupational Therapy Service at Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust. We recognize the importance of offering choice and variety to therapists in order that they can develop and gain new skills. We can offer 6 monthly rotations in the following areas:
-Medicine and Surgery
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist with relevant working experience, particularly in medicine and surgery and orthopaedics. The successful applicant will join well-established and supportive teams with a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary working and some teams also work across 7 days.
We work in partnership with our colleagues in primary care and social services to strive to promote a seamless transfer of care to the community.
Applicants need to demonstrate how they meet the essential and desirable criteria in their application form as we use this to short list. Visits into the community are also part of the role so the ability to fulfil the travel requirements of the post is essential.
