Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk and District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
The Children’s Unit comprises of the Children’s A&E Department, Children’s ward, Day Case, Assessment & Observation Unit, Outpatient Department and Children’s Community team.
Within Paediatrics, we provide care for Children up to 16 years old with Medical, Day surgical/ENT/ Ophthalmic and Orthopaedic conditions.
We also have a 10 Cot Level 2 Neonatal Unit.
Vacancies have arisen for Band 5 Children’s Nurses to join our busy Paediatric and Neo-Natal Units.
We are looking to employ a motivated and forward thinking individual who strive to further develop their existing clinical skills in these areas whilst contributing to the ever changing environment, supporting both senior and junior colleagues within a friendly caring team.
The post will be rotational and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
