Southport and Ormskirk Hospital Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adult's and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients across the North West, North wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
The Neonatal Unit at Ormskirk is a small friendly unit with 10 cots; 1 Intensive care, 1 High Dependency and 8 Special Care cots.
A temporary vacancy has arisen for a Band 5 Children’s Nurse to join our busy Unit. Experience is preferred but not essential.
We are looking to employ a motivated and forward thinking individual who wants to further develop their existing clinical skills whilst contributing to the ever changing environment, supporting both senior and junior colleagues within a friendly caring team.
You may hold the ENB 405 or equivalent, or you may be a Registered Children’s nurse with a particular interest in neonatal care, and therefore looking for experience within this environment.

The post will be rotational to night duty and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
This post will be subject to an Enhanced DBS (with barred list for Children's disclosure)
