Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk and District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
Are you an experienced nurse looking for a change in career direction, newly qualified or about to qualify? If you are interested in developing your skills and experience in Endoscopy Nursing then we would welcome your application.
The Endoscopy unit is based within the Treatment Centre at Ormskirk Hospital and sits in the directorate of Planned Care and predominately performs diagnostic procedures. The department has four endoscopic procedure rooms with ward based admission and recovery areas which are single sex areas. Southport Hospital has one procedure room, and performs a range of both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
If you join our team you will have the opportunity to gain experience in Endoscopy Nursing. Whether you have existing experience within this speciality, or if you are an experienced nurse from another speciality, we encourage your application. Mentor-ship opportunity is available and support will be provided by all of our experienced team.
In return, the Trust is committed to supporting and developing our staff so opportunities for training and other development activities will be provided.
Cross site working between Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals is required for this role.
