Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a confident personable individual to join the EPR Team which is incorporated within the IT Departments to support training on new modules and support the on going training.
The delivery of successful modules is dependant on excellent training and therefore the successful applicant will be able to:
•Deliver comprehensive training
•Extensive knowledge of PAS (Patient Administration Systems)
•Have the ability to communicate effectively to all staff
•The ability to work flexibly; both as part of a team and individually
Training and support will be given but a deep understanding of PAS is beneficial.
We are committed to delivering a high quality training service to meet the needs of an ever-changing agenda.
The project team is currently based in Ormskirk District General Hospital, some travel to the Trust’s other hospitals will be necessary.

Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk and District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Using their expert knowledge of the Trust’s corporate clinical systems the post holder: -:
Works with the other members of the Systems Training team to develop and deliver a high
quality training programme that meets the requirements of the Trust and promotes accurate
data recording
Acts as a specialist advisor to all users of the Trust’s corporate clinical systems
Works in the Clinical Systems team to address the training needs generated by new systems
as they are adopted by the Trust and to deliver new training initiatives, rolling them out
across the Trust.
Ensures that training is delivered in a timely and cost-effective way
Provides a consistent and professional learning and support service for all the Trust’s
corporate clinical systems

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- HNC or equivalent or equivalent experience in teaching and/or learning
- ecdl
- GCSE or equivalent – Grade A-C Inc. Maths & English
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- In depth knowledge of clinical systems
- Evidence of planning and delivery of structured IT training programmes and work plans for training sessions
- Evidence of design of learning materials including manuals and hand outs
Communication Skills
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate a positive approach to business change
- Maintain a positive attitude towards flexible working to meet changing demands within the Trust
Experience
Essential criteria
