Dermatology Nurse Specialist
Ormskirk District General Hospital
Fixed Term - 12 months contract (maternity leave cover)
Full Time: 37,5 hours per week
£33,222 - £43,041 per annum pro rata

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk and District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialties. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital.
The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Dermatology Team at Ormskirk Hospital, which is a well-established and expanding outpatients department.
This appointment is a fixed term cover for maternity leave of the existing post holder.
The department provides a full range of Dermatology services including photo-dynamic therapy, minor surgery, skin cancer follow-up, plus many more. The successful applicant will work alongside an experienced medical and nursing team, providing specialist care to patients with a variety of skin cancers.
You must be a registered nurse who is committed to the delivery of high quality patient care and be able to work effectively and efficiently, possessing strong decision making skills, high level of communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. You should be flexible, well organized, resilient and able to meet the challenges and demands of a busy and diverse clinical service.
