Applicants are invited for a Locum fixed term whole time, Locum Consultant in Anaesthesia.
This is a full time post based at both Southport and Ormskirk hospitals. On call duties include providing anaesthetic services for emergency surgery, maternity, paediatric emergencies for stabilization and transfer, ICU cover on a 1 in 9 basis.
The post has a variety of sessions to be agreed on appointment.
The department covers a wide range of surgical specialties including General, Urology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Day Case ENT Surgery, Dental Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery and Intensive Care. There is a Supra Regional Spinal Injuries Unit at the Southport Hospital site and an acute and chronic pain service exists on both sites
This is a full time fixed term post for 6 months initially. The Trust is happy to consider flexible working arrangements and extended days to deliver a desirable work life balance, support professional goals and personal development.
The successful candidate should be willing to integrate into an established and supportive Anaesthetic department to meet the challenges involved.
You will be joining an enthusiastic Anaesthetic Team. The department of Anaesthetics consists of 17 Consultants, 3 Associate Specialists, 13 Specialty Doctors, 3 ST3+, 8 core trainees including an ACCS trainee.
