Working Pattern: Treatment Centre and Endoscopy working hours range from 07:30 to 18:00 and flexibility within these times is required.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated RGN to work in our friendly and busy endoscopy department based within the Treatment Centre at Ormskirk Hospital and in the Endoscopy Suite based at Southport Hospital.
The Treatment Centre sees approximately 12,000 patients per year for endoscopy and also covers day surgery procedures. Endoscopy procedures include; gastroscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, bronchoscopy and cystoscopy. Day surgery includes urology, ENT and vascular treatments. There is a wide range opportunities to expand your learning and development needs within these specialties’. We consider the Treatment Centre to be an innovative and creative environment for those nurses pursuing a career in day surgery and endoscopy nursing. The endoscopy unit on the Southport site carries out emergency and inpatient endoscopy procedures and cross site working will be required.


• Be a Registered General nurse or Registered Nurse Part 2
• Previous day surgery desirable and endoscopy experience is essential.
• Ability to work in x-ray department environment essential.
